Public Records & Open Government
We file public records requests under A.R.S. § 39-121 to compel disclosure of government documents. We monitor public bodies — city councils, parks boards, oversight committees — for compliance with sunshine law. When agencies stonewall, we pursue administrative appeals and litigation.
Public Land & Preserve Protection
Mountain Preserves, Sonoran Preserves, and city parks are protected by charter, ordinance, and voter-approved restrictions. When unauthorized construction or alteration takes place, we document the gap between approval and action and demand accountability.
Voter-Mandated Compliance
When voters approve a ballot measure with restricted-purpose, oversight, and audit conditions — those conditions are enforceable. We track how voter-approved funds are spent, whether oversight committees actually oversee, and whether the audit voters approved is the audit that gets done.
Park Stewardship & Naming
Park names, tributes, and maintenance promises are public commitments. When the City accepts a $500 tribute on a promise to maintain, or when a public space's name is the city's endorsement, the underlying record matters. We document what was promised and what was kept.
